Lead civil hydraulic structural engineer with 26+ years of experience in design, construction supervision and project management of hydropower projects. Laxman is a dynamic Hydraulic Engineer who maintains a positive and creative outlook on hydraulic solutions for intake and water conveyance system. Worked as Hydraulic Expert for SMEC Asia Pacific region’s core team that runs CFD software as well as transient analysis including Flow 3D OpenFOAM, Hytran and River Flow 2D. Responsibility included review of hydraulic design and supervision of construction projects. Well exposed on feasibility and detailed design for hydraulic works, hydrology, and project layout including design management of small to medium scale hydropower projects.
He has worked as key person for managing international resources and technical issues of different hydropower projects. His recent work experience includes working as Team Leader/ Hydropower Engineer for Updating Feasibility Study and Detailed Engineering Design of 53.5 MW Upper Myagdi HEP in Nepal; International Team Leader for NEA Engineering Company in Nepal; Hydraulic Expert for 25 MW Budhi Gandaki and 111 MW Rasuwagadhi HEPs in Nepal; Hydraulic/ Structures Engineer for 500 MW Wawa PSP in Philippines, Hydraulic Engineer for 230 MW Telom, 1050 MW Ulu Jelai and 230 MW Telom HEPs in Malaysia; and Hydropower Design Engineer for Upper Buine HPP in PNG.

Mr. Sitaram Neupane

With over 29 years of experience in various civil engineering fields, specifically in the hydropower sector, Sitaram has led various feasibility study and detailed design of hydropower projects in the role of Team Leader, Hydropower Engineer, Hydraulic Engineer and Cost Engineer. His major works include detailed design of Upper Mugu Karnali (306 MW), Namlan Khola (135 MW), Upper Myagdi (53.5 MW), Lower Seti (126 MW), Upper Modi Cascade (60.2 MW), Upper Phawa (5.8 MW), Super Aankhu (25.4 MW) HEPs, feasibility study of Bajhang Upper Seti (216 MW), Sapsup Khola (6.6 MW), Kasuwa Khola (45 MW) HEPs and technical due diligence of Super Tamor (166 MW) and Phukot Karnali (300 MW).

Mr. Subramaniam M Ramanaidu

Sushil has more than 20 years of experience in providing advisory and liaison services related to logistic support services, local construction and engineering backup, legal and tax matters, pre-qualification/ tender proposal preparation, clearing and transport to renowned national/ international contractors/ manufacturers/ developers/consultants during project identification/creation stage, pre-solicitation stage, solicitation and submission stage, post-solicitation stage and contract/project execution stage. He has actively worked with international contractors and consultants in the field of aviation, information technology, telecommunication, hydropower, roads and highway.
His recent experience includes working for TPSC (Toshiba Plant Systems and Services Corporation, Japan) wherein he was involved in establishing and growing TPSC team in Nepal. TPSC has now firmly established itself as major Electro-mechanical equipment (hydropower turbine and generator) supplier/ EPC Contractor in Nepal.

Mr. Roshan Kumar Thapa

Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with Distinction (Specialized in Air Conditioning and Life supporting System) Odessa State Academy of Refrigeration1990-1996, Odessa, Ukraine.
Roshan in well experienced in project management and construction works to manage projects at different levels. He has 23 years of professional experiences on design, execution and project management of hydroelectric projects, energy efficiency projects, HVAC system, Control & SCADA, clean rooms for pharmaceutical industry. His major work experiences include 42 MW Salma Dam hydel project in Afghanistan; 220/20 kV Charikar Substation 220/20 Doshi Substation in India; Chimtala 220/20 KV Substation in Afghanistan; Energy Efficiency Project in Kabul, Afghanistan; 500KV double CKT Transmission line Project in South Korea; 144 MW Kaligandaki HEP, 60 MW Khimti HEP, Lomus Pharmaceutical, Royal Singhe Hotel in Nepal.

Bharat is well experienced in project management and construction works to manage projects at different levels. He has 26 years of professional experiences on design, execution and project management of Building projects like Residences-Hospitals-Schools- Industries and Hotels.
He is working in different platforms as freelancing design and execution engineer with American, Austrian, Indian and Chinese counterparts with his permanent station in Wangla Engineering and Developers. He is the prominent professional in hand with DCS since its establishment.

Mr. Pranav Acharya
Environmental and Social Experts
With 28 years of proven experience in managing Environmental and Social (ES) risks, delivering solutions that fully comply with national regulations and international financing institution standards. Well exposed with complex ES challenges across hydropower, irrigation, forestry and nature-based tourism, agriculture, governance, capacity building, and social protection; consistently linking environmental management to tangible community benefits. With a multidisciplinary background in forestry, environmental management, and social sciences, specialize in ES impact assessment, risk mitigation, forest governance, ecosystem conservation, participatory community engagement, and sustainable natural resource use in diverse socio-ecological contexts. Worked as a partnered with the Government of Nepal, Nepal Electricity Authority, and global development leaders such as the World Bank, ADB, IFC, KfW, UNDP, FINNIDA, AUSAID, NORAD, FCDO, IHA, WWF, and independent power producers. Involved in designed and implemented effective ES tools- Environmental and Social Frameworks (ESMFs), Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs), Cumulative Impact Assessments (CIAs), ES management plans, and Environmental and Social Management Systems (ESMSs)- that ensure full compliance while improving project outcomes. Currently, as a consultant to the World Bank’s Nepal Country Office Environmental Risk Management team, and support clients in preparing and implementing ES instruments that deliver sustainable, community centered results.
